The domain
Nestled in the heart of Corrèze, Domaine de Salagnac extends over 40 hectares of forest and meadows Classified Natural Area of Faunistic and Floristic Interest (ZNIEFF). This exceptional place is home to a remarkable biodiversity, between large hundred-year-old trees, springs, basins and clearings.
Around it, a park designed and planted over time, where redwoods, cedars, rhododendrons and a century-old mountain elm compose a unique natural setting, imbued with memory and poetry. A living place, inhabited by history, and deeply rooted in its territory.
A bit of history...
Formerly an agricultural estate in autarky, Salagnac was a veritable small world in itself: farm, washhouse, pigsty, chestnut dryer, private chapel, and even a Ice cave still punctuate the places with their traces.
The manor, whose first stones date back to 1650, has spanned the centuries, combining elements of the Renaissance, the 18th and the 19th centuries, between Monumental chimney, ancient beams, stone tanks, Bassière and carved niches.

Walks & hikes
The Salagnac estate, with its 40 hectares of woods, trails and clearings, perfect for a walk. You can walk there for hours, walk along the Ruisseau des Dagues, cross the mossy undergrowth, observe ferns and mushrooms, or simply listen to the silence of the forest.
Of marked hiking trails pass directly by the estate or nearby, allowing you to explore the surroundings on foot: small valleys, viewpoints over the Corrèze countryside, waterfalls and streams. Ideal for a quiet stroll Or a more sustained hike, without taking the car.
Emblematic cities & villages
Around the Cabanes de Salagnac, discover iconic cities and villages of Corrèze. A few minutes away, Meyrignac-l'Église, Corrèze, Chaumeil or Sarran offer peace, nature and heritage.
A little further away, jewels classified among the most beautiful villages in France await you: Collonges-la-Rouge and its red stones, Turenne and its hilltop castle, Cureonte and its noble houses. From Les Cabanes de Salagnac, it only takes a few minutes to immerse yourself in the landscapes and typical villages of Corrèze. In the immediate vicinity, we take the time to stroll around Meyrignac-l'Église, Corrèze, Sarran, Chaumeil or Saint-Augustin : small authentic, quiet and welcoming villages.
For nature lovers, several must-see sites are less than an hour and a half away: the Gimel Falls, spectacular in any season, the Monédières Massif, a great place for hikes and free flight, or the Longéroux peatland, Natura 2000 site in the heart of the mountains.
